Condor Dragon Fruit Plant – Rooted

Condor Dragon is a vibrant purple, self-pollinating variety. The fruit is alarge sized with bright purple, great tasting flesh. The exterior skin is light green and pink hues with the green turning pinkish red as the bright purple flesh becomes ripe. This hybrid has a very nice exterior appearance with the fruits size averaging 1 to 1.5 pounds.

Purple Fleshed, Self-Fertile

Plant care: Dragon fruit are a tropical fruiting cactus. Dragon fruit will not grow in cold climates, so make sure that the temperature is above 40 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent cold damage. Protect from hard freezes. Dragon fruit can be grown in containers or in the ground, planted in well-drained soil, full sun and trained to a heavy-duty trellis to support weight of this fast-growing plant. Avoid overplanting into very large containers, instead, gradually increase container size in relation to the plant size. We recommend a complete fertilizer during the growing season. Avoid overwatering in the winter to ensure the plant does not rot off.

All our dragon fruit plants have been greenhouse grown. When you receive your plants, please be patient in acclimating them to their new environment. This means slowly transitioning them from shade to full sun over a period of at least three weeks to avoid sun scald. This could take longer in extreme heat.
