It is so named, as the erstwhile nawab’s best wife liked it. Its characteristics include early maturing, sweet flesh, yellow coloured skin when it ripens but nonetheless exquisite.

Among the popular mangoes of Bengal, Rani’s favorite mango has taken its place. This mango is small and round in shape. Its stems are hard, yellow when ripe. There is no fiber in this sweet and fragrant mango. Its shell is thin and smooth. When it is peeled, its shell comes out.

Each tree bears a lot of mangoes and bears fruit every year. There is a demand for it in the market and its commercial demand is increasing. This mango is cultivated in Chapainawabganj, Naogaon, Natar and Rajshahi of Bangladesh and Murshidabad District of West Bengal
