‘Tess Pollock’ was selected by Chris Wenzel of Delray Beach, FL and is thought to be a cross between Carrie and Turpentine.
The fruit is oval-shaped, somewhat similar to Carrie, turning yellow at maturity. The flesh has a minor amount of fiber, with terpenes in the flavor and a hint of ‘Carrie’ spice. It is a very nice fruit belonging to the Indian-Alphonso flavor group.
The tree flowers very easily, usually multiple times resulting in at least 2 distinct crops in Spring/Summer for us. The fruit is very prone to post-harvest anthracnose spotting of the skin.
Flavor: Indian-Alphonso
Country: Florida – USA
